4,000 evacuated after floods in Malaysia
Nearly 4,000 residents were evacuated on Dec. 15 after torrential rains caused floods in Malaysia’s Johor State.
The Southern state initially evacuated 2,853 residents after rainfalls started on the 13th of December. The State Government, Urban Well-being and Environment Committee announced that the evacuated residents were placed in safe areas.
Authorities warned rainfall and floods would continue in the region.
