A 6.9-magnitude earthquake strikes off Indonesian coast

A 6.9-magnitude earthquake has struck near the eastern coast of Indonesia.

No tsunami warning has been issued and no casualties have been reported.

The earthquake’s epicentre was in the Banda Sea, at a depth of 600 kilometres and 220 kilometres south of Katabu. The impact could be felt in Kupang city where buildings and streetlights swayed.
