Allah alone

Allah is the Sustainer

Allah is the sole owner and maintainer of all things. He is the Creator of all things, He alone rules the whole world. Sovereign belongs to Allah alone. That is, in Royalty, in Obedience, in Authority, only Allah is the Lord and Master; He has no partner in it. Allah says:

“And Allah is your Lord, the Royalty and the Sovereign. To Him belongs no deity.” (Qur’an 39: 6)

Allah says elsewhere,

“He is Allah, your Lord, to Him belongs all authority, and those whom you call upon besides Allah do not possess the covering of the date-palm.” (Quran-35: 13)

Allah the Almighty says, “The right to rule belongs to Allah alone. He instructed not to worship anyone but Him alone; This is the eternal religion, but most people do not know it.” (Quran 12:40)

Here Allah has made it clear that the kingdom and the command belong to Allah alone.

Allah alone decides

Allah decides according to His will. He commands, that is, He directs His creation to His will. He gives dignity to some, degrades others, keeps some alive and kills others. He gives wealth to some and makes others helpless. He is the one who ruled that Islam will be honored and will be victorious over all religions. No one can cancel or change it.

Allah says: “Allah is the King of that day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). He will judge between people. So those who believe and do good deeds will enter the Garden of Bliss. And (as for) those who disbelieve and Denied my patterns, they shall soon taste a grievous chastisement.” (Quran 15: 56-57)

Allah says: “On the Day when their tongues, their hands, and their feet will bear witness against them for what they used to do. Allah will recompense them on that day, and they will know that Allah’s judgment is clear.” (Qur’an 24:24)

That is, on the Day of Resurrection their tongues, hands, and feet will speak and He Himself will testify against them for their sins.

Anas(R) said, “We were once with the Prophet (peace be upon him).” He smiled in such a way that even his gum teeth could be seen. Then he said, “Do you know why I’m smiling?” We said, “Allah and His Messenger know the best.” He said, “I am laughing when I know that the servant will quarrel with his lord on the Day of Resurrection.” He will say, “Lord! Didn’t you protect me from oppression?”

Allah will say, “Yes.” Then he will say, “I will not take the testimony of anyone other than myself.” Then Allah will say, “You are sufficient for your reckoning.” His face will then be sealed and his limbs will be given the ability to speak. Then those limbs will give an account of his actions. Then he will be allowed to speak. Then he will say, “Woe to you! I relied on you for my help.” (Muslim)

All kingdoms belong to Allah

All kingdoms belong to Allah. There is no king in the world who is not under Allah. There is no good in the heavens and the earth but His bounty and grace. Allah says: “To Allah belongs everything in the heavens and the earth.” (Quran 2: 255)

He gives the kingdom to whom He wills and takes away the kingdom from whom He wills. Allah says, “Say, O Allah! You have sovereign power. You give the kingdom to whomever you want and snatch the kingdom from whomever you want. You honor whom You will and disgrace whom You will. You have all the welfare in your hands. Surely You have power over all things.” (Quran-3: 26)

He is the owner and the lord. His innumerable bounties, his abundant bounties to His servants, do not cause the slightest deficiency in His kingdom, and no deed can deter or obliterate Him from any other deed. Allah mentions all these qualities and introduces us to Him in the hadith Qudsi.
