Egypt is expected to restart cultural tourism on the 1st September following several months of lockdown imposed to curtail the spread of covid-19.

The development is conditional upon strict adherence to coronavirus safety measures. Tourist facilities, including transport such as buses, are expected to operate at 50 percent capacity.

According to President Abdel Fatteh El-Sisi 700 employees of the tourism sector in Luxor have been treated in social distancing measures.
