Ethiopian Muslims protests after mosques burn down
Several thousand Ethiopian Muslims have been protesting in recent days following the burning of four mosques in the Amhara region.
The attacks took place last Friday in Motta Town, 350km North of Addis Ababa. Mosques as well as Muslim-owned businesses were targeted.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed denounced the attacks as extremists attempting to break down a rich history of religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
15 suspects have been arrested in connection to the attacks which may have been triggered by news of a fire in an Orthodox church.
