Fashion and Beauty Buys That Support Breast Cancer Awareness

Every October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and this is when a worldwide campaign runs across various countries to increase awareness on the second most common cancer in women, breast cancer.

There are many ways we can show our support for breast cancer patients and one of the simple ways to express moral support is to wear a pink ribbon or a pink outfit, as the colour pink is the international symbol of breast cancer awareness.

Besides that, we can shop for a good cause too and give back to the cause. Many big retailers have teamed up with breast cancer charities as well to raise awareness and donate proceeds from sales to these organisations dedicated to help patients and their families.

Ralph Lauren’s Pink Pony Collection

Ralph Lauren’s Pink Pony Campaign has been around since 2000. This is the brand’s global initiative to show its fight against cancer. Based on its website, 25% of the purchase is directed to an international network of cancer charities. But if purchased within the United States, the proceeds will benefit the Pink Pony Fund of the Polo Ralph Lauren Foundation, which supports programmes to help guide patients through every stage from screening to diagnosis to treatment and recovery.

The collection features a range of jumpers and sweatpants for men, women and kids. It also includes a limited-edition light pink ‘Live Love’ t-shirt, of which 100% of the proceeds will be channeled to the Pink Pony Fund or international network of charities.  Shop the products here.
