ONITSUKA TIGER LAUNCHES SUSTAINABLE KICKS
Japanese shoe label Onitsuka Tiger dropped its latest sneakers in collaboration with Sansa Sakiori Koubo of Saccora Japan, featuring Sakiori, an age-old form of craftsmanship. The line features the classic OK Basketball collection – but serves a whole new look in Sakiori material, created by weaving scraps of synthetic leather. The line doesn’t just offer sneakers, but tote bags, pouches, and clutch bags too – all incorporating environmentally conscious material.
TOMMY HILFIGER UNVEILS SUMMER HERITAGE CAPSULE COLLECTION
Tommy Hilfiger’s ‘Summer Heritage’ collection re-visits the aesthetics of the 90s era with a wide range of elevated summer essentials. Bringing in its signature ‘Tommy Girl’ star, the streetwear styles for the ladies in this collection offers pieces like cropped sweaters, cycling shorts, track pants and oversized painter pants all in the mix. Meanwhile, the men can find colour-blocked board shorts, bold striped shirts all in pastel shades of yellow, pink and teal, with a touch of the brand’s signature red, white and navy colour.
BURBERRY DEBUTS PRE-FALL 2019 CAMPAIGN
After turning heads with their Monogram collection fronted by Gigi Hadid, British brand Burberry released it is Autumn/Winter 2019 Pre-Collection which boasts outerwear and eveningwear. Think pieces like trench coats, down jackets and quilted puffer capes designed by Riccardo Tisci. Photos of the collection for Burberry’s new campaign depicts the models sporting key colours of the collection which are red, black, orange and beige (of course!). GUCCI DROPS LOGO-PRINTED COATED TOTE BAGS
Gucci recently launched its Pre-Fall 2019 men’s tote bags for pre-order. The four coated cotton tote bags include a floral print, two bags in hot pink and black and a yellow Bordeaux check nylon jacquard print, each featuring a contrasting framed Gucci box logo. Measuring at 15”W x 16.5”H x 4”D with a 5”-drop handle, the bags are priced at $790USD each. Available to order on the Gucci website, the delivery dates are estimated between June 15 – 30.
SONY INTRODUCES THE FIRST LINE OF PLAYSTATION JEWELRY
Sony has just dropped an out-of-the-box collaboration with King Ice, a Los-Angeles based jewellery maker King Ice. Introducing, the first-ever line of Playstation jewellery! King Ice has lent its meticulous craftsmanship to create a multi-piece line for the gaming system. Among the offerings is a 14K gold PlayStation controller pendant, a pendant featuring the gaming system’s PS logo, and more. Prices for the items in the collection begins at $80USD.
