Russia has given regulatory approval to a covid-19 vaccine following nearly two months of testing on humans.

The authorities have deemed the vaccine safe for use and the daughter of President Vladimir Putin has reportedly been vaccinated.

Some experts have raised concerns about the speed at which the vaccine was approved for general use stating that the necessary amount of testing could not have been undertaken in that time. Health authorities have maintained that the vaccine has been tested properly and is safe to use by the general public.
