First Nigerian youth talent search for reality TV show
On Feb. 13 in a news conference in Abuja, Mr Ziggy Ogbaki, the Producer of Nigeria Talent Search said they will be filming a Naija Comedy Empire Television reality show with Doyin and Susan Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).
Ogbaki said both the foundations hope to address the difficulties caused by the lack of an enabling environment, financial assistance and any support whatsoever to help the youths bring out their talents.
This programme is set to present Naija to the world, showcasing Nigeria’s talents. They aim to search for raw talents on the streets, bringing them to the public domain.
The show will start in April for a period of 6 weeks. The winners from the event will be featured in an American talent reality show.
Registration for the programme has begun and interested participants are to pay a token fee of N2, 000 to be registered.
A total of 37 contestants would be drawn from the 36 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The winner will win a cash prize of N10 million and a brand-new car, while lots of consolation prices will be available for the others.
Ogbaki said the foundations would provide mentorship and groom Nigerian youths for the next two years to enable them to reach their full potential.
He noted that the Naija Talent Search would collaborate with other organisations to create a competitive environment for all levels of students across the federation to develop their talents.
