How Allah Honoured Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
Man is the best creation of Allah (SWT) and the greatest man in the world is Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Allah (SWT) has set his dignity above all the prophets. Allah said, ”And raised high for you your repute.” (Surat Ash-Sharh [verse 4])
People swear by Allah. In whose name does Allah swear? Allah (SWT) has sworn to His Muhammad (SAW). The Qur’an says, ”By your life, [O Muhammad], indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly.” (Surat al-Hijr [verse 72])
Allah (SWT) swore to the birthplace of the Prophet (SAW). In the Holy Qur’an, Allah (SWT) says, ”I swear by this city, Makkah- And you, [O Muhammad], are free of restriction in this city.” (Surah Al-Balad [verse 1-2]).
This verse is enough to understand how much Allah (SWT) has honored His Prophet Muhammad (SAW). It has been said, ”And [recall, O People of the Scripture] when Allah took the covenant of the prophets, [saying], “Whatever I give you of the Scripture and wisdom and then there comes to you a messenger confirming what is with you, you [must] believe in him and support him. ” [Allah] said, “Have you acknowledged and taken upon that My commitment?” They said, “We have acknowledged it.” He said, “Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses.” (Surat Ali ‘Imran [verse 81])
Allah (SWT) has changed the Qibla of Muslims by respecting the opinion of the Prophet. When the Prophet (SAW) went to Madinah, he was repeatedly looking at the sky, because he had to pray.
The Holy Qur’an says, ”We have certainly seen the turning of your face, [O Muhammad], toward heaven, and We will surely turn you to a Qibla with which you will be pleased. So turn your face towards al-Masjid al-Haram. And wherever you [believers] are, turn your faces towards it [in prayer]. Indeed, those who have been given the Scripture well know that it is the truth from their Lord. And Allah is not unaware of what they do.” (Surat al-Baqarah [verse 144])
And last but not least, when Abu Lahab made a slanted remark about the Prophet (SAW), Allah Himself revealed a verse in the Holy Qur’an saying, ”May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined and ruined is he.” (Surah Al-Lahab Verse 1)
Allah (SWT) addressed His Prophet Muhammad and said, “You will never be disturbed by the conspiracies of the disbelievers.” I will give the answer to their conspiracy to Allah Himself. Allah said, ”Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers.” (Surat al-Hijr [verse 95])
The beloved Prophet (SAW) was so dignified that Allah (SWT) Himself gave him the highest character certificate. In the Holy Qur’an, Allah says, ”And indeed, you are of a great moral character.” (Surat al-Qalam [verse 4])
Our beloved Prophet (SAW) is so dignified that he is praised by Allah (SWT), the Lord of all things. Allah says, ”Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.” (Surat al-Ahzab [verse 56]
