Libiyan National Army warns Misrata gunmen to withdraw from Tripoli and Sirte within 72 hours
Ahmed al-Mismari, the spokesperson for the Libyan National Army (LNA), Dec 20, stated gunmen from Misrata have 72 hours to withdraw from Libya’s Tripoli and Sirte.
The LNA will continue to bomb the militia’s posts in the country if they do not withdraw their troops from the two cities.
LNA states it will not target any forces that leave Tripoli and Sirte before the deadline.
The Commander of the LNA, Khalifa Haftar, earlier this month, had ordered his forces to begin advancing towards Tripoli and said gunmen in the city would be provided with safety in exchange for laying down their arms.
