North Sumatra remains popular among Dutch tourists from January-October 2019
North Sumatra Province recorded a total of 213,858 foreign tourists, with a rise of 11.83% in the year ending October 31, 2019 compared to 191,752 in the corresponding period last year.
According to the Chief of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Office in North Sumatra, Syech Suhaimi, that Dutch tourists constituted the majority of the increased arrivals at North Sumatra between January-October 2019. There was a total of 4,933 Dutch tourists over 4,127 during the same period last year.
A major drop of 10.87% of Malaysian tourists arriving at North Sumatra was observed for the same period last year.
