Omoyele Sowore, Nigerian human rights activist rearrested shortly after bail by DSS for new charges
On Friday evening after begin freed, journalist and activist Omoyele Sowore, was suddenly rearrested by unidentified individuals in Federal High Court setting .
On Tuesday, the motion was moved up by a minority leader, Ndudi Elumelu (PDP-Delta), under Matters of Urgent Public Importance at the plenary presided by the speaker: Femi Gbajabiamila.
Elumelu said the investigation was on the “invasion of the Federal High Court premises Abuja by yet to be identified persons”.
He described the invasion of the court by the unknown individuals who later were found to be DSS (Department of State Security) officials as “disregard for the rule of law”.
