Pakistan exports US$203mn in transport services
Pakistan reported earnings of US$203.105mn in the first quarter of the financial year through exported transport services. Though a robust sector, this represents a 0.95% decrease from the corresponding period of the last fiscal year.
During this period of review, earnings from air travel increased 3.74%. Passenger services as part of air transport increased 20.77% and freight services also grew by 32%. However, sea transport decreased 8.3% and road transport services declined by 17%.
