Pakistani government releases Rs 299.87 billion for development projects

Pakistan’s federal government has so far authorised the release of Rs 299.87 billion for various ongoing and new social sector uplift projects under its Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2019-20, out of the total allocation of Rs 701 billion.

Under its development programme, the government released an amount of Rs 135.176 billion for federal ministries, Rs 102.55 billion for corporations and Rs 21.7 billion for special areas, according to the latest data released by the country’s Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform.
