Proof that Keanu Reeves Is A Real-Life Hero

On the silver screen, Keanu Reeves has been through a lot. He’s killed a vampire king, saved a bus, survived a hit from the criminal underworld, saved the world at least four times and although he convincingly portrays a super assassin in the John Wick franchise, he holds an undisputed reputation of being one of the nicest guys in Hollywood.  Thanks to the Internet, the movie star’s good deeds are well documented. While he was recently honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, here’s why he should be honoured as basically one of the nicest human beings, ever.

He doesn’t need no fancy cars to get around all the time, Keanu is often spotted on the subway and he was once spotted offering his seat to a fellow female commuter who wasn’t pregnant or elderly. A gentleman AND someone who makes use of public transportation? Oh Keanu.

There are countless fans who shared their heartwarming experiences with the famous Hollywood actor. From taking time out to chat with a big fan, to slouching in his theatre seat to make sure people behind him could see, to reaching out to shy fans, and even drove home a stranger who had car problems, and the latest one would be Keanu purchasing an ice cream cone just so he could get a receipt in order to sign his autograph for a young fan. Awww.

This is one of the more popular stories surrounding the actor. It took place in 1997, when he was spotted hanging out with a homeless person. Apparently, he was just minding his own business when he encountered the homeless man. They shared conversations, some drinks and snacks.

From the success of the second and third Matrix movies, it’s no question Keanu earned a fat paycheck, but it was reported that he generously gave up some of his salary from the movie for the special effects team, so that they could still have jobs. He also once gave a struggling worker on the set of The Matrix about $20,000. Proves he’s just a nice, modest and charitable guy.

Keanu’s latest movie John Wick: Chapter 3- Parabellum picks up right after where John Wick: Chapter 2 left off— the Babayaga now wears the Excommunicado status, has a $14 million bounty on his head and is on the run to stay alive. The movie then follows Wick’s journey to literally the end of the world and back to where everything started— the Continental Hotel in New York City.

This third installment of the John Wick franchise is just as over-the-top as the previous two, if not more. It leaves very little space to breathe– blow after blow of beautifully choreographed fight scenes with gorgeous visual backdrop. Not much of a storyline but oh, do stay for the fun, fun fights. There’s definitely a lot of adrenaline, blood and guns, lots of guns.

John Wick: Chapter 3 is also graced two cinema queens- Halle Berry as Sofia, long time friend of Wick’s, and Anjelica Huston as The Director, a member of Ruska Roma and protector of John Wick. Mark Dacascos plays Zero, the lead antagonist, and Ian McShane and Laurence Fishburne reprises their roles as Winston and The Bowery King. Not forgetting, Indonesia’s silat experts, Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman (of The Raid fame) are also part of the movie.

At the time of writing, John Wick: Chapter 4 is already confirmed and given a May 21 2021 release date.
