Rihanna Debuts Another Fenty Collection Mid Paris Fashion Week
Hot on the heels of her Savage x Fenty collection debut during New York Fashion Week recently , Rihanna continues to turn heads in the fashion world by dropping yet another new Fenty collection in the middle of Paris Fashion Week.
The new collection is reimagined office staples that include bulky pin-striped blazer with exaggerated shoulder pads, classic white shirts that gets a Fenty update and black corset. The brand’s spliced-hem trousers remain, but it is now in darker colours and gets a jean iteration too.
Rihanna’s foray into the fashion world has started awhile back. In 2014, she was announced as the creative director of Puma and has designed a series of shoe collections that sold out.
In May this year, she made history when she became the first black female designer to be backed by LVMH, which is the parent company of luxury design houses such as Dior, Givenchy, and Fendi. It was truly a turning point in the fashion world.
The fashion label which sells ready-to-wear clothes, shoes and accessories is the first label LVMH has created from scratch since Christian Lacroix’s brand launched in 1987 which was ultimately sold in 2005 due to financial struggles. It is known that LVMH prefers to buy already established names.
We can’t wait to see what else Rihanna has in store for the fashion world. Until then, here are a few pieces from her new collection which is already made available at Fenty.
