Seven people were killed as the Agro Parahyangan passenger train hit their van on the evening of December 21. The van had been driving across the railway at Bosih Road in Wanasari Village, Cibitung Subdistrict, Bekasi District, West Java Province, Indonesia.

“All of them died at the site of the accident,” Sunardi, Bekasi Metropolitan Police Spokesman Adjunct Commissioner, told journalists on December 22.

According to witnesses, the van driver, Bahrudin, drove across the railway even though he had been warned by local residents about the fast-approaching Agro Parahyangan train, which was heading to Jakarta.
