Turkey expresses concern over French police’s disproportionate use of force protests
Turkey’s Foreign Ministry expressed their concern about general strikes and protests, as well as the disproportionate use of force by security forces in France.
In a written statement released on Dec 6, the foreign ministry condemned the intervention of French Police that resulted in injured members of the press. They denounced it as an “unacceptable physical interference” against freedom of press.
It added, “ The fact that the French authorities have not issued an apology raises the gravity of the situation.”
It also warned Turkish citizens to be cautious when traveling to France.
