Turkey successfully tests locally made armed drone
Turkey completed testing of its latest locally made armed drone, equipped with the latest smart technology, in northwestern Turkey on December 6th according the the Istanbul based manufacturer.
Baykar Makina, who produced the drone, said its Bayraktar Akinci (Raider) – Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle stayed in the air for 16 minutes after a fully automatic taxi and take off.
It has also completed its first fully automated landing at Corlu Airport Base Command.
The newly designed vehicle system is expected to be used for strategic military tasks.
