Turkey to give Libya military support
Turkey is readying itself to provide Libya military support as parliament prepares to authorized trop deployment, a spokesman for Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
The troops will support the Fayez Al Serraj Government in Libya, which has been split into multitudes of rival political and military factions since 2011, when Muammar Gaddafi was ousted and assassinated.
Turkey and Libya recently signed a military cooperation deal which includes provisions for a quick reaction deployment if requested by Tripoli.
The cooperation deal has drawn criticism for Turkish opposition which claimed that arms supply to the GNA breached an arms embargo.
