UK Brexit envoy quits over being used to pass false information on Brexit abroad
Britain’s Brexit envoy to Washington has quit as she no longer wants to “peddle half truths on behalf of a government I no longer trust.” Alexandra Hall Hall proclaimed in her resignation letter.
Then further criticises the British government’s use of “misleading” arguments and reluctance to honestly address challenges involved in the U.K.’s departure from the EU.
Hall Hall, 55, was a 33 year veteran of the foreign service and a former ambassador to Georgia. The British Foreign Office confirmed she had quit but refused to comment on the details of an individuals resignation.
