Virus is ‘under control’ in Jordan
King Abdullah II has stated that coronavirus has been brought ‘under control’ in Jordan and that the focus should now shift to revitalising the Jordanian economy.
“We have successfully dealt with the coronavirus, which today is under control in Jordan,” he stated on Sunday.
The country has reported 1,179 cases and 10 fatalities from the virus.
The country has introduced stringent measures to curtail the spread of coronavirus. Social distancing measures and face masks remain compulsory in public places whereas incoming travellers are required to carry an electronic bracelet.
